An article in Friday’s Metro newspaper considered the popularity of farmers’ markets in London and how house-hunters are increasingly drawn to areas which have a regular market selling fresh and artisan produce.
One such market is Wapping Market which launched last year and is open every Sunday from 10am to 2pm. It is currently taking a winter break but will re-open in Spring for visitors to enjoy locally sourced, fresh, seasonal produce with different vendors each week. At JOHNS&CO we regularly have properties available to purchase and rent at Ballymore’s 21 Wapping Lane and residents there are always telling us how much they enjoy having the market on their doorstep. Keep an eye on the Twitter feed @WappingMarket for news of it re-opening.
We also sell properties at a number of future developments that will have food markets nearby. West Hampstead SQ is close to the neighbourhood’s farmers’ market, which takes place every Saturday. Its list of producers can be seen on the Facebook page.
