Fancy getting frisky in the kitchen? Join The Avenue Cookery School for a special Valentine’s Day dinner party dining class. When you arrive you will be treated to a glass of wine (which will remain topped up throughout the evening!) and freshly baked bread.

Once settled they’ll demonstrate the dishes you’ll be cooking, so pay attention to their helpful hints and tips. Then when you’ve finished making your delicious three course meal you get to sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labour!

If you are looking for your purrfect partner, or a new furry addition for your family, then pop down to Battersea Dogs and Cats home for their special Valentine’s Day rehoming event ‘Feline Lonely‘.

You’ll be greeted with a glass of bubbly and the re-homing team will find you your perfect feline match. If that’s not enough of a draw for you there will also be the chance to pose for photos in front of their photo board, listen to some poetry, or test your feline knowledge in a fun quiz whilst enjoying a selection of sweet treats.

LUMINOCITY at Canary Wharf ice rink

What could be more romantic than holding hands and gliding effortlessly around an ice rink? At Canary Wharf the fantastic LUMINOCITY ice rink and bar is open until the 25th of February. This is not your average ice rink; the combination of music and over 8km of LED lights beneath the ice makes this skating experience utterly unique. Once your time on the ice is up (or you’ve hit the deck one too many times) you can relax in the LUMINOCITY bar and enjoy a tipple or two. Time Out Silent disco at the Cutty Sark

Looking to dance away the evening? Head over to Greenwich where Time Out are holding one of their amazing silent discos in the belly of the historic Cutty Sark! Start off the evening by having a wander around the attraction and soaking up the history of the ship, before putting on your headphones and showing everyone your best dance moves. There will be three music channels to choose from, so even if your significant other or your friends have different tastes in music you can all enjoy dancing into the small hours together!

The Georgian Dining Academy at the National Maritime Museum

The Georgian Dining Academy are hosting an opulent evening at the National Maritime Museum, where you will be able to embrace the past and enjoy a thoroughly immersive evening. Costumes are encouraged but not necessary – if you do want to dress up Angels fancy dress shop are offering a discount on your Georgian garb (details of how to apply the discount can be found on the event page). A night about love and friendship, you will be able to read love letters sent from Lord Nelson to Emma Hamilton, learn a traditional courting dance or if you like a little mystery with your romance you can create a mask to keep your identity a secret! Thames River Cruise & Champagne & Fromage

It may still be chilly but what better time to cuddle up and enjoy a cruise along the Thames than on Valentine’s Day? Thames River Services have teamed up with Champagne & Fromage to offer you this exclusive treat for two. Jump aboard the boat at Westminster and cruise through London to Greenwich, with a live audio commentary along the way. Once you have disembarked in Greenwich it is a short walk to the Champagne & Fromage Deli Bistro, where you will be treated to a glass of champagne and a charcuterie board which also includes two artisan French cheeses and tapenades.
