They say home is where the heart is so whether you’ve lived in yours for years or have just moved in, sometimes we all need a little inspiration to breathe life into our living spaces, and that’s where the Ideal Home Show comes in.
This yearly event is held at Olympia London and is a fantastic place to find out about the latest design trends and renovation ideas, with plenty of interior inspiration thrown in for good measure. With so much going on it can be difficult to know where to start, so with that in mind we have taken a look at what’s on this year and put together this list of 2018’s Ideal Home Show must see’s.
Where: Kensington Olympia
When: 17th March – 2nd April 2018
Amazing show homes
One of our favourite things to do at the Ideal Home Show is to have a nose around the full-size show homes. This year the focus is on creating futuristic homes using all the latest innovations that allow you to make the most out of your living space. So if you are interested in turning your property into the home of the future we would definitely recommend taking time to take a look inside these contemporary show homes.
If you enjoy being more hands-on with your home projects then these sessions are definitely worth dropping in on. The workshops are free to visitors and cover a range of crafty projects, so whether you want to learn how to decorate the perfect cupcake, create a miniature indoor garden, design and make your own paper collage lampshade or learn how to tie-dye fabric (and much more) there is definitely something for everyone.
It wouldn’t be the Ideal Home Show without a whole host of engaging and inspirational celebrity experts passing on their personal tips and tricks. Guests vary depending on the day you visit so make sure you check out the website to see who is presenting on the day you visit. So if you want to hear about interior design, money saving, architecture, landscaping, mortgages, cooking and baking or DIY, get yourself over to the Ideal Home Show Super Theatre and settle in for a series of fascinating talks.
