The best burgers in Canary Wharf
Whether you’re a hamburger traditionalist or like to mix it up a bit, Canary Wharf has a burger for you.
The best burgers in Canary Wharf
Chai Ki
Start National Burger Day as you mean to go on with a breakfast bun from Chai Ki. The modern Indian restaurant have a Sausage Bun and a Bacon Bun but we’re leaning towards the veggie Aloo Tikki Bun – spiced potato hash, fried egg, cheese and tamarind tomato ketchup.
Chai Ki, Crossrail Place, Canary Wharf, London E14 5AR
Bleecker St
It’s all about the beef at Bleecker St burgers. They use rare-breed, pasture-fed beef from small farms in the UK that’s then dry-aged for 40-50 days at The Butchery in Bermondsey. And it makes one of the best burgers in London.
We recommend the classic Cheeseburger or the Bleecker Black – a tantalising mix of beef, cheese, black pudding, onion and sauce.
Bleecker St, Montgomery Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 5JJ
The Parlour
The Parlour Bar have a few options on offer, including a classic Cheeseburger, a Chicken BLT and a Halloumi Burger. But it’s National Burger Day so what better excuse do you need to splurge on the fancy Wagyu burger? Served with blue cheese and tomato chutney, we also recommend a side of Roman fries with parmesan, truffle and rosemary.
The Parlour, Canary Wharf Group, The Park Pavillion, 40 Canada Square Park, London E14 5FW.
Ibérica
Group Head Chef César Garcia has created a special burger just for National Burger Day. The Asturian recipe is made from Secreto pork and Manchego cheese with red peppers and chimichurri sauce. Alternatively you can’t go wrong with their classic sliders (served with Piparra peppers).
Ibérica, Canary Wharf Group, 12 Cabot Square, London E14 4QQ
The Breakfast Club
For a nostalgic feel there’s nowhere quite like The Breakfast Club. The menu is vast so let’s narrow it down to two winning options: Sloppy Cow and Fish Royale.
If you’re happy to get messy the Sloppy Cow offers triple cow – a double burger topped with beef chilli. Alternatively you can’t go wrong with buttermilk fried Icelandic cod with tartare sauce in a toasted brioche bun.
The Breakfast Club, CR30, 1 Crossrail Place, London E14 5AR
