Charity Foodbank Collection
The festive season is very nearly upon us, and whilst a lot of us are looking forward to overindulging on turkey, mince pies and mulled wine, for others Christmas can be a very difficult time of year.
During the 2017/2018 financial year, 1,332,952 three-day emergency food supplies were handed out at foodbanks, this was a 13% increase on the previous year, with 484,026 recipients being children.
This year please help us make a difference to someone’s Christmas by donating food at one of our offices or the following developments by Thursday 20th December:
- London City Island
- 21 Wapping Lane
- Pan Peninsula
- New Providence Wharf
- Royal Wharf
- Ontario Tower
- Charrington Tower
- Embassy Gardens
- West Hampstead Square
We’ll then take all of your donated items to a local foodbank in time to help families over the holiday period.
Not sure what to donate? The foodbank accepts toiletries and non-perishable food. These are the ten most needed items right now:
- Rice
- Cereal
- Tinned meat
- Dried pasta
- Tea bags and instant coffee
- Biscuits
- Rice pudding
- Tinned tomatoes, tinned fruit and tinned vegetables
- Long-life milk and long-life fruit juice
- Nappies, sanitary towels and toilet roll
Thank you for helping us make a difference and best wishes for a very merry festive season.
