JOHNS&CO Face to Face with investors in Hong Kong
The three day exhibition to promote The Royal Wharf development in E16, a joint venture between Ballymore Group and Oxley Holdings, took place last weekend in the centre of Hong Kong, and was a great occasion for JOHNS&CO to go one step further and engage in direct communication with a broad range of Hong Kong property investors.
Our Lettings Manager Lewis Burnet was there on behalf of Johns&Co, and here are some of his thoughts.
‘Hong Kong investors may have become a bit cautious about the London property market but they still view it as a top global investment hot spot. An increasing number of South East Asian students being educated in the UK is still among the key factors driving investment in London property, especially when it comes to new builds or new homes. As before, exhibitions are a very popular way to engage with people representing London’s top new residential developments and ultimately to secure a purchase.
Hong Kong investors are very knowledgeable, exceptionally keen to hear from all of us who are directly involved with various aspects of servicing their future London property investment, and they expect straight answers to many question they have. With high expectations they seek direct reassurances from people offering services. And, there is no better way to do that but to be there and interact face to face.
It may all start well with an exhibition abroad though, by signing an investor or closing that purchase deal. But, there will always be a hugely important work to follow on that when back in London’, said Lewis.
