London City Island and Trinity Buoy Wharf – a nine year old’s perspective
We’re very excited to share a guest post from Ella Morley. Ella is nine years old and currently staying at London City Island. In this blog she shares what she loves most about London City Island and neighbouring Trinity Buoy Wharf.
London City Island is great it is opening a red swimming pool beside the Grocer. The Grocer is indoor and outdoor. There is a bar, shop and restaurant. The waiters are friendly and nice. There is a gym and loads of people love to use it. There is a lounge there with a pool table, foosball, table tennis and a place to relax or read. There’s access from the tube from the buildings. Restaurants, attractions and schools can be visited easily.

Trinity Buoy Wharf is a few minutes walk from London City Island. There is a lighthouse there that plays music for 1000 years, it has already played for 17 years. The amazing thing is it never plays the same two seconds of music. It was made by Jem Finer from the Pogues. He used a computer programme recording every note of the Tibetan singing bowls. There is a lot of art and culture there. As well as Faraday School there is also an art school. There is a lot of legal graffiti there. Sculptures and painting are often seen around.
