What to expect from the Made in London fair in Canary Wharf
The Made in London Design and Craft Fair returns to Canary Wharf this week with over 100 designers and makers displaying their work. With such a wide range of crafts on show, including glasswork, ceramics, jewellery and handmade furniture, there is definitely something to interest everyone.
Organised by Tutton & Young Ltd, this event is a great opportunity to talk to designers directly about their work and discuss possible commissions. You can also purchase items at the fair to take home.
Below is a selection of our favourite artists that will be in attendance this year.
Aline Johnson Glass Design
Aline Johnson’s colourful glass designs are absolutely beautiful. Aline specialises in creating stunning glass lights; this leaf cascade chandelier is one of our favourites.
Alex McCarthy Ceramics
Alex McCarthy makes exquisite ceramics. Using simple elegant designs and drawing inspiration from the natural world, Alex’s creations are beautifully tactile.
Corrinne Eira Evans
Corinne Eira Evans takes inspiration from First Nations art and culture and creates stunning pieces of jewellery. The main component of her work is the traditional flat chainmail which she makes by hand using different metals and colours. She also uses various precious metals and stones to create beautiful rings and earrings.
Brett Payne Silverware
Brett Payne uses sterling silver to create elegant contemporary pieces for your home. Brett’s designs include tableware, candlesticks and flatware, all of which are hot forged by hand.
