New Thames bridge designs revealed for Nine Elms SW8
A total of 74 professional design teams from all across the world have qualified for the initial stages of the competition run by Wandsworth Council, London to design the new pedestrian and cycle bridge across the Thames, connecting Nine Elms and Battersea with Pimlico and Westminster. The new Thames Bridge designs are on display on Friday 27th February (1pm-7pm) and Saturday 28th February (10am-6pm) at the Rose Centre, Ascalon Street, SW8 4DJ, and all the submissions are available to view online.
It’s fantastic to see these ideas that really bring to life the concept of the new London bridge. A new pedestrian and cycling bridge will be extremely appealing for prospective residents of Nine Elms SW8, allowing a traffic-free, relaxed journey north of the river.
