Proud sponsors of St John’s Hospice summer fayre 2019

Here at JOHNS&CO we’re committed to helping local causes. As part of our West Hampstead office recently supported the St John’s Hospice summer fair.

St John’s rely on public and private donations in order to keep doing their incredible work. This year they need to raise £7 million to keep running.

They offer bespoke care to anyone facing an end of life situation, with dedicated nurses, doctors and specialists. They always aim to create an environment which is not upsetting or negative, instead they want to foster an atmosphere of positivity and celebration – with a goal of squeezing every last drop out of life.

The team at St John’s also offer Hospice at Home, a service that allows patients to access all of the treatment available at the hospice whilst they remain in the comfort of their own home. Complementary therapies are also provided, including Reiki, reflexology and acupuncture to aid in the management of pain, mobility, depression, anxiety and stress.

They can also provide support and respite for the carers and families of those going through treatment, and a bereavement service offers counselling to loved ones that are experiencing the loss of a relative or friend. Their aim is to make sure that no one feels alone in their grief, and as such offer specialist social groups for families and friends to meet others in the community who are going through the same thing. They also help with the confusing and sensitive funeral arrangements and have more specialised services for child bereavement.

The summer fayre was a huge success and raised lots of money for the hospice, allowing it to continue with the amazing work in undertakes in the local community. Kids and adults of all ages enjoyed plentiful food and drink stalls, a funfair, donkeys, a community choir and of course our very own JOHNS&CO gazebo and face painter.

Thank you to everyone who attended the fayre and for helping us support St John’s Hospice.
